I don’t want my boss to know that I’m applying to business school. What do I do about a recommender?

William, is there someone else at the firm with whom you’ve worked closely? How about a client or former boss? All of these are viable.

Maxx, what do you think of the HBS interview reflection guidelines? Anything special I should know?

Arnie, some things to keep in mind: (1) keep reflection on interview’s content only, not what you did not get to say; (2) think about pivotal moment(s) in discussion – what did it say about you? (3) what did you communicate well and what did that say about you or your goals or your qualifications? (4) don’t adopt a tone; be natural, clear, genuine.

I can not answer dilcetry for Harvard, but I do interviews for another Ivy League school.I would definitely suggest entering in the fall as that is when the program sequences begin. I can also say from my daughters experience that entering in the fall when most students begin is better. If you are graduating in January, ask Harvard what courses they will be able to transfer and what courses they recommend for your program and take them where you are or at home.References :
